  • Gifts shipments can be subject to import duties and taxes at some destinations
  • The shipping documentation must be clearly marked “Unsolicited Gift” in addition to the commodity name and the detailed description.

Volumetric weight is determined by multiplying a package’s length x height x width (all in centimeters) and dividing by 5,000.The chargeable weight will be highest of the volumetric weight or physical weight.

It is an essential document that should accompany all international shipments.it may be used by all customs agencies for import control, valuation and duty determination. A commercial invoice must contain shipper and recipient details, description of items, quantity, and itemised value, country of origin and currency used. Customs may still request a proof of payment or refer the file to their valuation department to determine the value of your imported goods.

A Proforma invoice can only be used for shipments of free goods such as product samples, catalogues or products not intended for sale

A Commercial Invoice will be requested for the clearance of other commodities
