Duties & Responsibilities

 

    • Job Purpose
      • To be the Company’s first point of contact with the public and to act in a professional and friendly manner at all times.
      • To pick up and deliver parcels.
      • To work in the Bonded warehouse.

       

      Main Accountabilities

       

      1. Coursier

       

      Key Responsibilities:

       

      • Pick up parcels as per pick up request within cut off time.
      • Delivery parcels as per the Seniors’ instructions.
      • Collect Airway bill (AWB), documentation including textile, sample, invoices amongst others.
      • Retrieve imports the earliest possible.
      • Proceed for exports with proper lodge on time before final cut off.
      • Ensure good driving techniques and good running conditions of the Company courier vehicle.
      • Carry out personal and extensive search for consignee’s location in case of incomplete address.
      • Help Customers prepare and complete forms and documentations with regards to courier service.
      • Maintain good business relationship with Customs department.
      • Assist other departments in packaging when needed.
      • Ensure payments of customs declaration, delivery orders, or to any other institution which should be executed as per established time frame.
      • Collection of delivery orders, Bill of lading and any other logistics documentation requirements.
      • Step in any route in case of absence and/or shortage of staff in the operations department.

       

      2. Bonded Warehouse Operations

       

      Key Responsibilities:

       

      • Screen shipments
      • Load/unload shipments
      • Prepare and palletize shipments as needed
      • Assure proper handling and delivery of shipments
      • Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
      • Adhere to all protocols, procedures, and rules in a professional manner
      • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
      • Work with a sense of urgency
      • Maintain good business relationship with Customs department.

       

      3. Administration

       

      Key Responsibilities:

       

      • Maintain and keep up-to-date database of intervention and courier listings on a daily basis.
      • Liaise regularly with Supervisor and keep latter informed of progress of any daily operations.

       

      4. Quality

       

      Key Responsibilities:

       

      • Comply to and ensure compliance to warranty procedures and services standards within established company policies and procedures.
      • Follow and implement quality indicators as defined by Management.

       

      5. Customer Service

       

      Key Responsibilities:

       

    • Respond to customers interactions in a professional and timely manner, provide help and advice using the company’s products or services and achieve positive resolutions.
    • Provide excellent service consistent with the Company’s core service standards; ensure that the level of service provided is at the highest level at all times.
    • Handle all requests, claims and complaints in a quick and efficient manner and route queries to concerned department and follow up to ensure the customers’ satisfaction

Experience & Qualifications

Qualifications, Profile, Skills and Experience

 

  • School certificate.
  • Valid Driving License for both motorcycle and private car.
  • A Certificate of Character is mandatory in the recruitment exercise.
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, energetic and customer service oriented.
  • Pleasant and extrovert personality; motivated and focused.
  • IT Literate and conversant in spoken English and French.
  • Able to work independently and in team.
  • Willing to work overtimes.
  • Position involves continual lifting of packages and standing for long periods of time.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
